Welcome to Hunter Volleyball Inc

On behalf of the Committee, I am pleased to announce that Newcastle Volleyball has recently registered as an Incorporated Association with NSW Fair Trading, and has commenced activities under its new name Hunter Volleyball Inc (2000657).

The name Hunter Volleyball Inc was chosen after much deliberation by the committee as it represents our strategic intent to increase the footprint of volleyball across the Hunter region, through the creation of indoor and outdoor participant hubs in Newcastle, Maitland, Cessnock, Lake Macquarie, and beyond, over the next decade.

As an affiliate of State Volleyball NSW, and as a registered legal entity, Hunter Volleyball Inc. is now able to actively pursue opportunities for funding grants from local, state or federal programs to support the development of new programs for participants (players, coaches, referees and administrators), and commence providing junior volleyball activities under the auspices of the NSW Office of Sport Active Kids program.

So what does the name change from ‘Newcastle Volleyball’ to ‘Hunter Volleyball Inc.’ mean for members and supporters?

  • Our website can now be located by visiting www.huntervolleyball.com.au.  Over the coming days new content will be created to reflect the changes occurring with return to sport and upcoming events in Winter and Spring, both indoors and on local beaches
  • The contact email addresses for your President, Secretary and Treasurer will update to the new domain @huntervolleyball.com.au
  • Our new public Facebook Page is available www.facebook.com/huntervolleyball/ to all members of the public.  We are re-building content so keep an eye out for the latest updates and news as we ramp up activity in Winter and Spring 2020
  • Parents will shortly receive information on how to redeem an Active Kids Voucher for upcoming junior programs
  • Members will shortly be invited to play a part in designing our new Hunter Volleyball Inc. logo.  Be part of the next chapter of regional volleyball history by sharing your designs which represent the Hunter Valley, our dynamic global sport, and you, our members
  • Individual member registrations will reference your home club as Hunter Volleyball Inc, regardless of which venue you attend or the activity hub in which you participate.

Most importantly, over three decades of volleyball history borne of the Newcastle District Volleyball Association, continues under a new name, symbolic of the committee’s desire to lead the sport proudly to new horizons throughout the Hunter Valley.
