This is an import summary of responsibilities we all take in attending volleyball activities this Winter due to the COVID-19 virus.
BEFORE COMING TO A VOLLEYBALL ACTIVITY
Do not attend if you are unwell including coughing, runny nose or fever
Do not attend if you have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days
Do not attend if in the past 14 days you have:
• Arrived in NSW from anywhere in Victoria from July 8
• Arrived in NSW from greater Melbourne after June 23
Do not attend if you have returned from another country or been on a cruise ship in the past 14 days
Comply with all current government & venue regulations regarding public health orders and advice
AT YOUR VOLLEYBALL VENUE
Time away from the court has been hard for everyone. Ease into the first few weeks of activity to make sure you are fit and well for long-term return to sport.
Comply with requirements to use hand sanitiser on arrival and after the game or training session.
No spectators are permitted unless essential or are the responsible adult for juniors. Spectators must register at the Administration Desk.
Please bring your own filled and labelled drink bottles
Captains must complete the scoresheet with full names of players in attendance – names must be legible and match name as registered 2020/21 Members
Remain 1.5m from others wherever possible, including sitting on team bench and duty scorers – Maximum 2 only at the scorer’s bench.
Arrive dressed and ready to play – do not use communal facilities. Toilets are available only.
Do not arrive early and watch games, please follow the “arrive, play, go” to limit mingling and number of people in the venue
Avoid physical contact, don’t huddle, exchange high fives, hugs or handshakes
No whistles may be shared. Duty teams are provided with squeezy whistles. Otherwise bring your own whistle.
Maximum of 2 warm up balls will be provided per team for warm up and will be cleaned by the venue supervisor in between games. The match ball must be wiped with alcohol wipes before and after the warm up, in between each set, and at the end of the game.
Referee stand & scorer’s bench and scoring equipment should be wiped down between games
Pens will be supplied as usual and should be wiped between games, however you are encouraged to bring your own
AFTER YOUR VOLLEYBALL SESSION
Advise Hunter Volleyball as soon as possible if you become unwell with flu like symptoms or have a positive Covid-19 test within 14 days of attending any Hunter Volleyball event (email secretary@newcastlevolleyball.com.au)
