My child is interested in playing volleyball, how can they play?

Hunter Volleyball has been gradually increasing the range of junior programs we offer. We aren't quite able to offer introductory programs to U10s yet due to limited court availability. We currently focus on Adults, U18, U16 and U15 age groups, with various options based on skill and competitiveness. Please keep following our Juniors page for program updates. We will also post program announcements, sign-ups, and further details on the Hunter Volleyball Facebook Page also.

I'm an adult, where can I join a social competition?

Please visit the Social page to find the latest information about our various social competitions, when the seasons run, and when we have social training, grading, or registration nights! If you'd like to join as an individual or bring a whole team, then please complete the form on our Contact Us page so that we can make sure you receive the latest information directly!

Can I play somewhere without being a Member of the Association?

We often host ‘come and try’ or ‘registration’ nights to welcome new participants into the Association so that we can find a place for you (or a whole team) in our competitions or programs.  Once you sign up for the program however, we do require you to be a current Member of Hunter Volleyball - which includes our State Association levy. You pay membership once, and it runs for the 12 month period 1 April - 31 March.

Do you offer accessible programs for people with a disability?

We are currently undertaking some training and looking for some more court space and time, to offer sitting volleyball activities.  Volleyball Australia has a range of resources available for ParaVolley (sand and indoor), so check these out online

Where can we play if we live in the Thornton, Maitland, or Rutherford areas?

We are still trying to find a school hall or venue to run programs in the Maitland LGA.  We are continuing the search and as soon as we find somewhere, everyone will know about it!  Our goal is to develop our Junior and Senior programs which connect with our into Leagues in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.
