HV Annual General Meeting Outcomes
The Hunter Volleyball Inc AGM was held on 1st April 2025 at the Newcastle Basketball Stadium Broadmeadow. Over pizza, we had a great review of the 2024 season which saw strong performance in membership growth and the return of a financial surplus for the past season.
Outgoing Committee: Trevor Connell
Returning Committee: Danielle Tansu (President), Jordan Maxwell (Vice President), Zack Stayman (Secretary), Rebecca Boresch (Treasurer) and Michael Sharland (General Committee).
New Committee: We welcomed Leonie Green and Lynda Davies as General Committee members.
A key theme from the 2024 Annual Report and President's address, was an acknowledgement of the significant contribution hat community members make as volunteers across all areas of our sport. Without our members contributing small amounts of time, advice, and assistance regularly we would not be able to deliver the programs we have to date.
Fundraising Subcommittee: the committee has been formed with Jordan as its Chair. We welcome all members to get involved the various activities planned in 2025/26 which will help us achieve our goal of $200,000 funds to be used for the fitting out of a dedicated volleyball space.
Facility Subcommittee: the committee has been formed with Rebecca as its Chair. We are calling on any members of the community with experience and knowledge in the finance, legal and commercial property industries to assist us in the development of business case for the Committee's review, focused on identifying the most achievable solution for a dedicated volleyball venue which will ensure security for our sport our sustainable options for long term growth.
