Let's get sandy! Feel the warm sun, cool breeze and sandy toes while you play at our courts situated on Nobbys and Newcastle beaches. All year 'round there are locals getting their beach game on with friends.
You can head down at any time without making a booking, just jump online to the Beach Volleyball Newcastle NSW social group on Facebook, see who's available and head down to play!
Throughout the year we hold social tournaments including the annual fancy dress Halloween and Christmas competitions, as well as the Australia Day social competition which has been played now for over 26 years!
Casual Play
If you have some spare time and want to get sandy, then head over to the Beach Volleyball Newcastle Facebook Group, where members of the community share information and arrange social games and gatherings. No bookings, no pressure, no worries, you can turn up with friends and utilise the equipment provided and maintained by the Hunter Volleyball community for all to share.
Social Tournaments
Every summer, Hunter Volleyball hosts social competitions on either Newcastle or Nobbys Beach, and formats vary from pairs to threes …. Oh, and fancy dress is always encouraged! Adults and experienced juniors welcome. We put on tournaments around Halloween, Christmas, Australia Day and an end of season event to ‘send off’ summer.
