Beach volleyball is the optimal way to combine sport, sun, sand and friends!

Let's get sandy! Feel the warm sun, cool breeze and sandy toes while you play at our courts situated on Nobbys and Newcastle beaches. All year 'round there are locals getting their beach game on with friends.
You can head down at any time without making a booking, just jump online to the Beach Volleyball Newcastle NSW social group on Facebook, see who's available and head down to play!
Throughout the year we hold social tournaments including the annual fancy dress Halloween and Christmas competitions, as well as the Australia Day social competition which has been played now for over 26 years!

Divisions: mixed pairs and mixed 3's
Registrations are now open for individual players to register themselves (and name their team members).
Teams will be seeded based on age/experience of players in each division in order to create socially competitive pools.
Any juniors interested in playing, you must have competed in JVL or 3s by the Sea competitions, in order to enter this tournament.

Nobbys Beach
This fun 3-a-side mixed social volleyball competition is a great way to find and train your sand legs this Summer! Whether you are an experienced indoor player looking for a new challenge, or a social beach player keen for regular competition (with an extra player on court to help!) then 3s by the Sea is the place to be.
Register as an Individual and then nominate whether you have a team ready to go, or wish to be placed with like-minded and similar experience level players.
Casual Play
If you have some spare time and want to get sandy, then head over to the Beach Volleyball Newcastle Facebook Group, where members of the community share information and arrange social games and gatherings. No bookings, no pressure, no worries, you can turn up with friends and utilise the equipment provided and maintained by the Hunter Volleyball community for all to share.
