As part of the 2024/25 Membership with Hunter Volleyball, players, officials and volunteers are protected by Insurance Cover provided as part of HV's affiliation with Volleyball NSW and the Player Accident Insurance cover through Honan Sport.

Key to the insurance process is recording injuries when they occur on the official match scoresheet or Injury Report Forms held by venue supervisors.

If you sustain a serious injury that stops you playing for an extended period of time, requires ongoing assessment and treatment, then you should lodge a Claim for Player Accident Insurance and determine what level of support you can access.

Note, Volleyball NSW advises "Honan Sport provides a “standard level” of cover for members and non-participating officials and has not taken into account an individual’s financial needs or circumstances. Volleyball NSW encourages all members and non-participating officials to purchase their own Private Health Insurance, Life Insurance, and Income Protection to ensure an adequate level of cover is in place and is based on personal circumstances. Please visit the Honan Sport website for details on how to make a claim for personal accident."

The insurance cover provided through Volleyball NSW does not cover Income Loss.

To make your claim for Player Accident Insurance visit the Honan Sport website.
