Premier League Season taking shape

Senior players in the HV community have gathered recently to select their teams to contest the newest competition format to hit the region, Premier Volleyball League, kicking off with training in May before matches start in June.

As our membership continues to grow and our pathways from junior to senior programs become more established, our goal is to provide high quality, local competition options for experienced players. The Trial season of the PVL is aimed at testing the concept of a local league, which can develop over time to a true inter-city league between communities in our Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and (soon-to-be-launched) Maitland hubs.

The PVL also has the potential to act as a pathway into senior representative selections for the elite player seeking home and away tournament opportunities.

Congratulations to all of the players involved, we look forward to seeing some dynamic and entertaining matches coming this Winter.
